On the feast of Pentecost we dedicated our new Chapel, on the Lae University’s Campus. The opening of the new Chapel was a wonderful event. It was well prepared and everybody took part, students and staff.
This is our first step towards the realisation of our project. I hope that the construction of our first students-lodge starts before October. This is also one of the reasons. I like to return in time to PNG.
Until now we have spent around € 90.000 on the project. You always run into additional expenses. The construction of the parking area and pathways towards the Chapel, was quite expensive. In the rain season the ground tends to get rather soggy. Thence we needed quite a bit of gravel, which of course needed to be compacted, with stone pitching along the edges.
